【摘要】:Thispracticeisintendedtobeusedforstifftoextremelydryconcretemixturescommonlyusedinroller-compactedconcreteconstruction.Thispracticeisusedinsteadofroddingorinternalvibration,whichcannotproperlyconsolidateconcreteofthisconsistency(Note1).Note18212;FurtherdescriptionofthisconcreteconsistencyisgiveninACI207.5Roller-CompactedMassConcreteand211.3GuideforSelectingProportionsforNo-SlumpConcrete.Theconsistencyofroller-compactedconcretemaybedeterminedinaccordancewithTestMethodC1170.1.1Thispracticecoversproceduresformakingcylindricaltestspecimensfromconcretewhenthestandardproceduresofroddingandinternalvibration,asdescribedinPracticeC31,arenotpracticable.Thispracticeisapplicabletofreshlymixedconcrete,preparedinthelaboratoryandthefield,havinganominalmaximumsizeaggregateof50mm[2in.]orless.Ifthenominalmaximumsizeaggregateislargerthan50mm[2in.],thepracticeisapplicableonlywhenperformedonthefractionpassingthe50-mm[2-in.]sievewiththelargeraggregatebeingremovedinaccordancewithPracticeC172.Thispractice,intendedforuseintestingroller-compactedconcrete,maybeapplicabletotestingothertypesofconcretesuchascement-treatedaggregateandmixturessimilartosoil-cement.1.2Twomethodsareprovidedformakingconcretecylindersusingavibratingtable:1.2.1MethodAisaprocedureformakingtestspecimensinsteelreusablemoldsattachedtoavibratingtable.1.2.2MethodBisaprocedureformakingtestspecimensinsingle-useplasticmoldsthathavebeeninsertedintoametalsleeveattachedtoavibratingtable.1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
