【摘要】:Uponmutualagreementbetweenthepurchaserandtheseller,fabricsintendedforthisenduseshouldmeetalloftherequirementslistedinTable1ofthisperformancespecification.ItisrecognizedthatforpurposesoffashionoraestheticstheultimateconsumerofarticlesmadefromthesefabricsmayfindacceptablefabricsthatdonotconformtoalloftherequirementsinTable1.Therefore,oneormoreoftherequirementslistedinTable1maybemodifiedbymutualagreementbetweenthepurchaserandtheseller.Insuchcases,anyreferencestothespecificationshallspecifythat:x201C;ThisfabricmeetsASTMSpecificationD4156exceptforthefollowingcharacteristic(s).x201D;Wherenoprepurchaseagreementhasbeenreachedbetweenthepurchaserandtheseller,andincaseofcontroversy,therequirementslistedinTable1areintendedtobeusedasaguideonly.Asnotedin5.2,ultimateconsumerdemandsdictatevaryingperformanceparametersforanyparticularstyleoffabric.Theusesandsignificanceofparticularpropertiesandtestmethodsarediscussedintheappropriatesectionsofthespecifiedtestmethods.1.1Thisperformancespecificationcoversknittedfabricscomprisedofanytextilefiberormixtureoffibers,usedinwomen''sandgirl''ssportswear.1.2Theserequirementsapplytothelengthandwidthdirectionsforthosepropertieswhereeachfabricdirectionispertinent.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
