【摘要】:Thepracticesreferencedinthisdocumentareapplicabletomeasuringtheheightofplanarflawsopentothesurfacethatoriginateonthefar-surfaceornear-surfaceofthecomponent.Thesepracticesareapplicabletothrough-wallsizingofmechanicalorthermalfatigueflaws,stresscorrosionflaws,oranyothersurface-connectedplanarflaws.Thetechniquesoutlineddescribeprovenultrasonicflawsizingpracticesandtheirassociatedlimitations,usingrefractedlongitudinalwaveandshearwavetechniquesasappliedtoferriticorausteniticcomponents.Othermaterialsmaybeexaminedusingthisguidewithappropriatestandardizationreferenceblocks.Thepracticesdescribedareapplicabletobothmanualandautomatedexaminations.ThetechniquesrecommendedinthisstandardguideuseTimeofFlight(TOF)orDeltaTimeofFlight(x0394;TOF)methodstoaccuratelymeasuretheflawsize.Thisguidedoesnotincludetheuseofsignalamplitudemethodstodetermineflawsize.Generally,withthesesizingmethodsthevolumeofmaterial(orcomponentthickness)tobesizedisdividedintothirds;theinner1/3,themiddle1/3andtheouter1/3.Usingthefar-surfaceCreepingWaveMethodtheusercanqualitativelysegregatetheflawintotheapproximate1/3zone.Thesizingmethodsareusedin1/3zonestoquantitativelysizethecrack,thatis,Tip-diffractionfortheinner1/3,Bi-Modalmethodforthemiddle1/3,andtheFocusedLongitudinalWaveorFocusedShearWaveMethodsfortheouter1/3.These1/3zonesaregenerallyapplicabletomostsizingapplications,however,thevarioussizingmethodshaveapplicationsoutsidethese1/3zonesprovidedaproperreferenceblockandtechniqueisdemonstrated.1.1Thisguideprovidestutorialinformationandadescriptionoftheprinciplesandultrasonicexaminationtechniquesformeasuringtheheightofplanarflawswhichareopentothesurface.Thepracticesandtechnologydescribedinthisstandardguideareintendedasareferencetobeusedwhenselectingaspecificultrasonicflawsizingtechniqueaswellasestablishingameansforinstrumentstandardization.1.2Thisstandardguidedoesnotprovideorsuggestaccuracyortolerancesofthetechniquesdescribed.Parameterssuchassearchunits,examinationsurfaceconditions,materialcomposition,etc.canallhaveabearingontheaccuracyofresults.Itisrecommendedthatusersassessaccuracyandtolerancesapplicableforeachapplication.1.3Thisdocumentdoesnotpurporttoprovideinstructiontomeasureflawlength.1.4Thisstandardguidedoesnotprovide,suggest,orspecifyacceptancestandards.Afterflaw-sizingevaluationhasbeenmade,theresultsshouldbeappliedtoanappropriatecodeorstandardthatspecifiesacceptancecriteria.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
